In Kaliningrad, builders stumbled upon a military cemetery during the reconstruction of Dachnaya Street. The remains of 38 people are raised to the surface. This was reported by the press service of the city administration on the official page on Facebook.

“At the beginning of the last century, the new Military cemetery of Königsberg was located at this place, which even the Soviet cards of the city reported until 1956. Then, de jure, it disappeared. De-facts, the dead remained to rest in the ground,” the report said.

The city hall noted that the volunteers of the People's Union of Germany for the care of military burials are regularly at the facility. If bones appear on the surface, they put them and take them for storage. It is planned that in the fall the remains of the military will be reburied in the international cemetery on Nevsky Street.
