About a hundred protests were detained in Yerevan

In Yerevan, more than 90 supporters of the Opposition Party "Prosperous Armenia" were detained near the building of the National Security Service, located next to Koltsov Boulevard. In the afternoon, for an interrogation to this building, the leader of the party of businessman Gagik Tsarukayan was delivered to this building, in the mansion of which in the morning the special services conducted searches, reports New Gazeta .

According to Gala TV, the party supporters blocked the movement on the neighboring street of Moskovyan, the police in response demanded to disperse, after which she began the detention.

The press service of the department explained them by a violation of the introduced emergency regime due to coronavirus; Activists were promised to release after drawing up the protocols.

The deputies from the "prosperous Armenia" also told Gala TV that, according to their data, Tsarukayan is supposed to arrest for his calls to resign Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan.

In total, Tsarukoyan appears in three cases that the National Security Service is investigating.

Tsarukan, who elected the deputy of the country's national assembly in 2003, founded his party a year later.

In the elections at the end of 2018, which took place after the velvet revolution, his party took second place (after the ruling Alliance "My Step") and received 26 seats there.
