In the Russian Federation, a ban on "banking roaming" entered into force

Since June 14, Russia has a ban on the so -called banking roaming - the bank commission for money transfers between the accounts of its clients from different regions of the country, the newspaper Kommersant writes.

The corresponding bill was submitted to the Duma last October on behalf of the then Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The explanatory note explained that the bank does not create an “added value” when transferring from one region to another, but only in this way it shows the “interregional discrimination” of customers. It should be noted that Sberbank accounts for more than two thirds of all the translations of individuals around the country. In the spring, he announced a change in the translation system: the State Bank now charges a 1%commission from all transfers in the amount of over 50 thousand rubles per month, and also invited customers to buy a subscription for free money transfers.

In mid -December, the law was signed by President Vladimir Putin.
