A long list of the Enlightener prize was announced. He, as always, included 25 books-this year the organizing committee chose from more than 170 science publications sent to the competition. The long list of the Enlightener.Digital prize will be announced on June 22.
“For us, an important task is that the Enlightener Award celebrates books addressed to adults. This is a serious conversation with a serious listener in a serious language. However, this year we discovered an amazing thing: a large flow of books is addressed to adolescents. This is no longer a child’s conversation about how the environment works, these are not yet completely adult books, but this is a very serious and frank conversation with, perhaps, the most demanding reader. Adults are accustomed to forgive something to the author-adolescents do not forgive anything. The adolescence itself as such provides for the ultimate seriousness and ultimate honesty of the conversation. Most likely, we did not track all the books addressed to adolescents. This year we decided to immediately declare a short list of one new nomination. If the process that we tracked will be constant, maybe the nomination has a great future and it will be fixed. But so far this is a special nomination only for this year, and there are only four books in it. The nomination is called Teentalk, ”his co -chair Alexander Gavrilov commented on the choice of the organizing committee.
