Pavel Durov threatened Facebook with legal action

Telegram founder Pavel Durov urged users to collect fraudulent Facebook ads using their name. He does not rule out that they "may be claimed in the framework of lawsuits."

Durov's claims were caused by an advertisement on the social network of a trading platform for pensioners, allegedly developed by the Durov brothers. In the example given by Durov, the scammers received a loan of 180 thousand rubles for a pensioner.

The founder of Telegram points out that Facebook “is ignoring complaints for more than a year, capitalizing on the financial inexperience of users,” while simultaneously carrying out political censorship in Runet. "It's in Facebook's best interest to start taking responsibility for its own ad platform by the end of the week," he wrote.

• This is far from Durov's first media conflict with Facebook. At the end of last year, he urged responsible users to remove the WhatsApp messenger owned by the social network.

• In May of the same year, he stated that “every time WhatsApp needs to fix a critical vulnerability in an application, a new one appears in its place,” and a year earlier he accused Facebook that its applications could not be safe in principle, because that it "places increasing profits above the interests of its users."
