The Stavropol Regional Court extended the arrest of one of the leaders of the Ingush protest, Akhmed Barakhoev, for three months. This was reported by the Human Rights Center "Memorial". Thus, he will remain in custody until 25 September. The investigation has been extended until the same date.
Barakhoev is a member of the Ingush Committee of National Unity and the Council of Teips of the Ingush people.
According to the prosecution , Barakhoev and two other activists, united by political enmity towards the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, created an extremist community in order to remove him from his post (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). Subsequently, other participants joined this community and in October 2018 they created the IKNE (Ingush Committee of National Unity) "to give the appearance of legitimacy and for the further development of the extremist community." He is also accused under the article on organizing violence dangerous to health against a representative of the authorities (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code with the application of part 3 of article 33 of the Criminal Code).
In addition, he is accused of concealing a second citizenship - his defense claims that Barakhoev's citizenship of Kazakhstan was previously canceled (330.2 of the Criminal Code).

For leading the Council of Teips of the Ingush people, he is accused under another article - on the creation of a non-profit organization that infringes on the personality and rights of citizens (part 2 of article 239 of the Criminal Code).

He is accused of participating in an extremist community (part 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code) and of organizing violence dangerous to health against a government official (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code with through part 3 of article 33 of the Criminal Code).
The title was changed in connection with the appearance of information about the extension of the arrest of Uzhakhov and Khautiev.
