In Chelyabinsk, the court dismissed the case under the article about fakes against the administrator of the VKontakte group

The Chelyabinsk Regional Court dismissed the case against the former coordinator of the "Stop GOK" movement, Sergei Belogorokhov, under the article on the dissemination of "knowingly false information" (part 9 of article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) on appeal. This is reported by Novaya Gazeta.

An administrative case was opened because of a post about the connection between failures on the roads in the village of Roza and explosions at a mining and processing plant.

“When appealing, we managed to obtain information that the explosions that day were at a military training ground. They also managed to achieve linguistic research, as a result of which even the prosecutor's office stated that there were no elements of an administrative offense in Belogorokhov's actions. Lawyer Vladimir Kazantsev added that the full court decision would be ready in about five days, ”Novaya Gazeta quotes lawyer Andrey Lepekhin.

• In December 2019, the Sovetsky District Court of Chelyabinsk in December last year found Belogorokhov guilty under the article on the distribution of fake news and imposed a fine of 40,000 rubles. “Consequences of the explosions on the evening of 10 July.
