The man who attacked Pyotr Verzilov asked on the Internet what to do after being detained and how to understand that you are wanted

Maxim Baryshnikov, who attacked Pussy Riot member and Mediazona publisher Pyotr Verzilov, has previously asked online what to do after being detained by the police and how to tell if someone is wanted.

These messages were published in 2018 and 2019 on the website The Question in an account that allegedly belongs to Baryshnikov. The account was noticed by Twitter user Yuri Burdin. The photo of the account owner matches one of the photos of Baryshnikov that Mediazona found on social networks.

"How do you know if you're wanted?" Baryshnikov asked in September 2018. "I recently failed to escape from the cops, was detained, photographed, had my fingers removed and took my phone number and IMEI . The question is, should I change my number and the phone itself because of possible interception of traffic and conversations?" hewrote in January 2019 (spelling and punctuation preserved).

• On June 21, Pyotr Verzilov was detained and interrogated as part of the "Moscow case." Investigators called Verzilov the organizer of mass riots, but for now he has the status of a witness.
• When Verzilov left the police station after the interrogation, a stranger knocked him down twice . After that, Verzilov was detained again and a report was drawn up for using obscene language. On June 22, Verzilov was arrested for 15 days. He called the incident a "police provocation."
• "Mediazona" found the social networks of Maxim Baryshnikov, who knocked Verzilov down. Baryshnikov is 21 years old and lives in Moscow. After school, he immediately joined the army. His subsequent occupation is unknown. A person with such a first and last name does not appear in the materials of cases considered by Moscow courts.
