The court in Tatarstan for nine days arrested the activist of the “Left Front” because of the picket for the resignation of Putin

The Naberezhnchelninsky City Court in Tatarstan arrested on nine days the leader of the local cell of the Left Front Anatoly Milordov. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Left Front-Official".

Milordov was found guilty under the article on the organization of a public event without a notice (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The reason for such a decision was a single picket, which the activist spent on May 29.

According to Telegram channel, an employee of the Center for Combating Extremism (CPE) decided that this action of Milords had to previously agree with the administration.

Despite the fact that single pickets under the law do not require approval, the court agreed with the police and decided that the activist violated the requirements of the legislation on public events.

Glordov’s lawyer Yuri Udovenko also noticed that the meeting was in the absence of a defender: this violates the activist’s right to defense. Udovenko intends to appeal the court order.

• Due to the single picket for the resignation of President Putin and the government, which Anatoly Gontinov held on June 3, a protocol was drawn up to him under the article on non-fulfillment of the rules of conduct during the emergency and the threat of its occurrence (part 1 of article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The reason for this was the absence of a mask of a picketer.
