The former chairman of the Union of Journalists died in St. Petersburg from Covid-19

The former chairman of the regional Union of Journalists Igor Sidorov, who headed the organization from 1994 to 2002, died in St. Petersburg. The Union website says that Sidorov died of coronavirus.

"According to our information, he became one of the victims of the Covid -19 epidemic," the website of the Union of Journalists in St. Petersburg reports.

Igor Sidorov worked in the newspapers "Shift", "Leningradskaya Pravda", was the host of the release of Radio of Russia, the first editor of the newspaper St. Petersburg Echo. Until 2004, he headed the board of directors of Izvestia-Petersburg JSC.
