The charitable organization "Rus Sitting", which helps prisoners, will be closed, its founder Olga Romanova announced on her Facebook page. Romanova explained that Sitting Rus lost a lawsuit with the former director of its St. Petersburg branch, Dinar Idrisov, who accused the organization of illegal dismissal and obtained compensation of 1.3 million rubles. “We don’t have that kind of money, now all our accounts are frozen and we are closing. This means that for the time being we will work without a legal entity and without invoices. And then we’ll come up with something, ”Romanova wrote.

In the statement of claim, Idrisov demanded compensation in the amount of 8 million rubles, but the court reduced the amount to 1.3 million rubles, both Idrisov and Romanova confirm. The court decision is not yet publicly available.

As Romanova told The Bell, the organization hired Idrisov as the head of the St. Petersburg branch, assigning him the highest possible salary - more than 90 thousand rubles. “However, after a while, we discovered that Idrisov simply did not go to work, and then one of our wards provided us with evidence that he was demanding money from her. This is prohibited by our rules. We brought this to the attention of the St. Petersburg Human Rights Council and fired Idrisov under an article for absenteeism, ”said Romanova.

Idrisov himself told The Bell that the dismissal under the "absenteeism" article was fabricated. “I was not present at work once for four hours, but we had conflicts with management before that. It was planned that I would finalize the contract until the spring of 2020, and then our relationship would end in any case, ”he explained. According to Idrisov, in court he demanded that he be paid the amount that he did not receive under the contract (about 870 thousand rubles), and the final figure of 8 million rubles was due to the fact that due to the dismissal he received "moral and physical inconvenience" . “While I was fired, I got sick with coronavirus, and I could not receive a penny of insurance contributions,” he explained.

Idrisov categorically denies the fact that Idrisov took money from the fund's wards to protect their interests. When asked whether he considers it justified that the work of Rus Sidyashchaya may be stopped due to the labor conflict, Idrisov replied that this "was only a good reason to curtail the work of the fund."
