Raushan Valiullin, chairman of the Alliance of Teachers trade union, was fired from a school in Naberezhnye Chelny where he taught history. Valiullin connects the dismissal with his political activities. It is reported by "Evening Kazan".
The formal reason for the dismissal was called absenteeism by the school administration. According to the history teacher, he has been teaching remotely since March. At the end of May, due to the coronavirus pandemic, he and his relatives went to the country, after which he informed the headmaster of his intention to take a vacation.
“The answer was received only on the afternoon of June 1. The letter contained my work schedule for the month, meaning that I was supposed to be at school that day. I called the director, he said that I was a few hours late, I explained the reason, and it seemed to me that we agreed that in the first week of June I take a vacation at my own expense, and from June 8 - the next one, ”- conveys the publication of Valiullina's words.
On the same day, the teacher came to the school to write applications for leave, but there he was acquainted with the act of disciplinary violation - absenteeism.
Valiullin is sure that the dismissal is connected with his political activities. In December, he reposted a video from his former student's Instagram, in which officers from the Tatarstan Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted exercises and involved ninth-graders as extras. Several students were injured. Thanks to Valiullin's repost, the case received wide publicity.
Also, the teacher, according to the publication, fought with portraits of Putin in schools, sought the execution of the May decrees of the president and participated in protests.
