Former accountant of the Seventh Studio Maslyaeva was released from punishment

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sentenced former accountant of the Seventh Studio Nina Maslyaeva to two years and three months in prison and released her from punishment. The Moscow agency reports this .

The court fully supported the request of the prosecutor's office, which asked the accountant for two years and three months in prison and asked to be released from punishment due to serving time in a pre-trial detention center and under house arrest.

Maslyaeva was involved in the Seventh Studio case along with director Kirill Serebrennikov, former general producer of the Seventh Studio Alexei Malobrodsky, general director Yuri Itin, former Ministry of Culture official Sofia Apfelbaum and wanted producer Ekaterina Voronova.

They were accused of large-scale fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). The investigation alleged that the defendants stole 133 million rubles from the budget, which were allocated for the experimental project “Platform”.

At a hearing on June 26, the court agreed with the third examination of the case, which revealed that the costs of the Platform were overstated by 2.5 times.

Serebrennikov was sentenced to 3 years of probation and a fine of 800 thousand rubles, Itin - to three years of probation and a fine of 200 thousand rubles, Malobrodsky - to 2 years of probation and a fine of 200 thousand rubles. Apfelbaum was found guilty of negligence and released from punishment.

Maslyaeva was the only one who admitted guilt and testified against other defendants. The accountant said that she ran the “back office” of the “Seventh Studio” and helped with cashing out funds, and also testified against the rest of the accused.
