Electronic voting on amendments has ended in Russia. Turnout exceeded 93%

Electronic voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation ended at 20:00 on June 30.

The total turnout at the end of voting was 93.02%. A total of 1,107,644 electronic ballots were issued, of which 1,090,185 votes were accepted.

The Public Monitoring Headquarters told Interfax that in the future the votes of voters would be uploaded.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that not a single hacker hacking attempt affected the course of electronic voting in the city. “We put up a prize of two million rubles for hackers who break into our system, but no one broke it. The money had to be given to the developers,” he said.

Electronic voting took place in two regions: in Moscow, 1.05 million people registered for it, in the Nizhny Novgorod region - more than 139 thousand people.

• The main day of the all-Russian voting on amendments to the Constitution is scheduled for July 1. Also, the Russians had the opportunity to vote from 25 to 30 June.
