The Prosecutor General's Office demanded that a video of Schema-Hegumen Sergius calling for a boycott of the vote on the Constitution be removed from YouTube

The Prosecutor General's Office demanded to remove from YouTube a video message from Shegigumen Sergius, in which he urged the people of Russia not to participate in the voting on amendments to the Constitution. This was reported by MBKh Media with reference to the press secretary of the shiigumen Vsevolod Moguchev and a copy of the notice from Roskomnadzor.

The Prosecutor General's Office recognized as unreliable the words of the priest that "through amendments to the Constitution ... the slave-owning power ... the power of the future Antichrist and his servants will be legalized."

The department also considered unreliable the shiigumen's assertion that Russia is ruled by the Hasidim, representatives of one of the currents of Judaism.

• One of the most famous priests in the Urals, Shegigumen Sergius, was banned from serving in May due to his radical views on the COVID-19 epidemic. On June 16, the shiigumen, with the support of the Cossacks, captured the Sredneuralsky convent - the monastery founded by him - and removed the abbess.
• Earlier, Sergius was summoned to a church court because he disobeyed Patriarch Kirill, and the police saw signs of extremism in one of his sermons.
