The court canceled the decision to extend measures to suppress the defendants of the case of "new greatness"

The Moscow City Court noted the decision of the Lublin Court to extend the arrested by the defendants in the case of the “New Greatness” by Ruslan Kostylenkov, Dmitry Poletaev, Peter Karamzin and Vyacheslav Kryukov and house arrest Anna Pavlikova, Maria Dubovik and Maxim Roshchin. This was announced by MBH Media lawyer Nikolai Fomin.

“The decision was canceled, sent for a new consideration. The preventive measure was left the same until July 16 this year. [Resolution] was made with significant violations of the procedural law, ”he said.

The lawyer noted that the defense spoke of two significant violations of the procedural law: they were not allowed to speak out after the prosecutor’s speech, and the deliverance itself was “brought out” in relation to all the defendants.

“Upon clarification of the Supreme Court, if the court jointly considers the issues of issuing a preventive measure, then justification and election should be in the decision with respect to everyone that there was no decision in this decision,” said Fomin.

According to him, the fact that the defendants left the measure of restraint is a common practice. “Before consideration on the merits of this issue, they remain in custody, someone under house arrest,” the lawyer added.

The defendants in the case of "New Greatness" are accused of creating an extremist community. According to the lawyers, the FSB officer, who consisted in the “New Great” under the pseudonym Ruslan D., according to the testimony of some participants, was given the testimony of the defendants, it was he who proposed converting the opposition chat into a political movement, which allowed them to make a criminal case. A video with incitement from the witness was also published.

Two defendants in the case, who had made a deal with the investigation, have already been convicted. This is Pavel Rebrovsky, who was sentenced to 2.5 years in the colony, and Rustam Rustamov, who received a year and a half of imprisonment conditionally. After the sentence, Rebrovsky abandoned his testimony, the court canceled his sentence, his case was sent for a new consideration. Another accused - Sergey Gavrilov - left for Ukraine during the consideration of the case, he was put on the wanted list.
