In the Leningrad region, the former ship forest - Lindulovskaya grove was preserved. Some larch there are older than 300 years.
The train to Roshchino from the Finland station leaves every hour, the road takes 40 minutes. Public transport does not walk from the station to the grove - on the highway on foot for about 20 minutes.
A deciduous grove appeared on the banks of the Lindulovka River even under Peter I: we needed trees for the fleet. Over time, larch trees grew, although they suffered from hurricanes and war - during the Second World War the line of defense passed here.
The grove became a reserve in 1976. Now this is a fabulous forest: silence, somewhere a river is murmured, in which salmon spawning is still. The air is clean, it smells of needles - it breathes easily.
Tall trees - there are not enough hands to hug. Those that Petrovsky landing are numbered. They say that animals and birds of the middle strip live in the reserve, we saw only a large frog.
The entrance to the grove is free. Formally, dogs are impossible, but no one is following this. There are paths for walking, but they are not equipped for disabled people, observation platforms.
It is impossible to breed bonfires. It’s better to take food with you - there is nowhere to eat nearby (you can buy pies at the Finland Station). You can arrange a picnic in the gazebo - they are in the parking lot next to the entrance to the reserve and immediately outside the gate - with a more picturesque look. Mosquitoes are evil in the summer.
