Meduza correspondent Kristina Safonova was detained at a picket near the FSB building in Moscow

Meduza correspondent Kristina Safonova was detained outside the FSB building in Moscow at a picket in support of journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva.

According to her, journalists Ilya Azar, Artem Besedin, Sofya Krapotkina, Maxim Polyakov, Sergei Yezhov, as well as Open Russia press secretary Konstantin Fomin are in the paddy wagon with her.

By 20:40 Moscow time, 16 people were detained in Lubyanka. Novaya Gazeta writes that in total about 40 people came to the FSB building.

• On July 3, the prosecutor's office requested six years in prison for Pskov journalist Svetlana Prokopieva on charges of justifying terrorism.
• The case was brought against her after the author's column on the website "Echo of Moscow in Pskov". In it, Prokopyeva blamed the authorities for the explosion in the FSB office in Arkhangelsk. According to the journalist, the state has created conditions for people to fight against it.
