8 million rubles were recovered from Navalny, Yashin, Sobol and others in favor of the police

The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow ruled to recover about 8 million rubles from Alexei Navalny, Alexander Solovyov, Ilya Yashin, Georgy Alburov, Lyubov Sobol, Ivan Zhdanov, Vladimir Milov and Oleg Stepanov in favor of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for police work during the summer protests in Moscow in 2019. The court partially granted two lawsuits filed in October 2019 by the City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs against opposition politicians, writes RBC with reference to the press service of the court.

One lawsuit was filed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs against employees of the Anti-Corruption Fund Georgy Alburov and Lyubov Sobol. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alburov and Sobol, who combines work in the FBK with political activities, had to pay for the work of the police at the protests on August 3, 2019. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs estimated the work of its employees and equipment at 9.4 million rubles. The court satisfied the claim in part, awarding the law enforcement agency 4.7 million.

A similar lawsuit concerns the action on July 27 - the defendants were unregistered candidates for the Moscow City Duma Alexander Solovyov, Vladimir Milov, Lyubov Sobol, Ilya Yashin and Ivan Zhdanov, as well as politician Alexei Navalny and coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters Oleg Stepanov. Of the requested 8.5 million rubles, the court recovered 3.3 million in favor of the plaintiff.
