A rally against changes to the Constitution and usurpation of power was not approved in Kirov

The Kirov administration refused to agree on a rally against the change in the Constitution, the usurpation of power and the official results of the July 1 vote. This was announced to OVD-Info by the organizer of the event, Vadim Ananyin.

The rally was planned to be held on July 4 on the main square of the city. The authorities did not agree on the event, citing the nearby university and hospital. The officials also indicated that the mass presence of citizens from 12:00 to 14:00 "will distract drivers and pedestrians from the traffic situation," which will pose a threat to people's lives and health. • On March 11, the State Duma approved the draft law on amendments to the Constitution, initiated by Vladimir Putin. Before that, the President supported the amendment of Deputy Valentina Tereshkova, who proposed to give the President the opportunity to run for two new terms after the adoption of amendments to the Constitution. Sobyanin called the ban on Putin being elected "a destabilizing factor." The amendments are planned to be approved at a nationwide vote, the main stage of which took place on July 1, 2020.
