The police handed Denis Kamalyagin a warning about the inadmissibility of violations, he told MBH Media. During the conversation, the security forces continued to instruct that single pickets are a public event, and those, in turn, are prohibited due to coronavirus pandemia.

According to Kamalyagin, police officers threatened to draw up protocols on the "organizers of single pickets" under Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the Promotion Procedure), and on participants - under Art. 20.6.1 Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the “self -isolation” regime).

Police officers called Denis Kamalyagin to the “conversation” of the Chief editor of the Pskov Province, due to the announcements of single pickets in support of the journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, accused of justifying terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). According to him, initially the police came to his house when he himself was not there. Kamalyagin learned about the visit of the security forces from the neighbors. Later, the police called him and stated that they consider him the organizer of a series of single pickets in support of the journalist, which will take place today at 16:00 in Pskov-the announcements of the pickets were posted on the publication’s website and in the telegram channel .

“The meeting with the police is scheduled for 14:00, they will explain to me that I am calling for illegal actions. <...> I will be called to prevent this action, they want me to come and say: “No need,” Kamalyagin said. According to him, the police said, allegedly "in accordance with the 54th Federal Law [on meetings and rallies], single pickets are a public event and require coordination."

“If they want to consider me an organizer, then let them think, although in fact, single pickets do not have it: everyone just comes out together. I was initially against the event, but when people said that they would still go, I decided that if it was impossible to prevent, it was better to lead. And wrote the news. In my opinion, there is not a word of call in it, ”Kamalyagin added.

Svetlana Prokopyeva is accused of public justification and propaganda of terrorism. The case was opened on February 6, 2019 due to the author’s program of Prokopieva's “Repression for the State” at Echo of Moscow in Pskov.
