The euro exchange rate during trading on the Moscow Exchange on the morning of July 6 rose by 0.9% compared to the close of the previous session and reached 81.015 rubles. The last time the euro exceeded 81 rubles was exactly two months ago, on May 6th.
The dollar shows similar dynamics: around 12.15 Moscow time, for the first time since the end of May, it exceeded the mark of 72 rubles per dollar.
The Moscow Exchange Index rose by 1.45% to 2841 points, the RTS index - by 0.9% to 1246 points.
The probable reason for such dynamics is sanctions risks, writes RBC: the market is waiting for new UK sanctions under the Magnitsky Act against Russian officials. At the same time, the external economic background is normal: oil is getting more expensive, Brent costs more than $43 per barrel.
