In the Tver region, the department of the Federal Penitentiary Service considered unreliable the information that Yegor Lesnykh, convicted in the “Moscow case,” was hit with a stun gun in a pre-trial detention center, Open Media writes , citing a representative of the department.

“The information about the use of physical force against the convicted Lesnykh is not true. During the period of detention in the institution, physical force and special means were not used against the convict; there were no complaints or complaints about the conditions of detention on his part,” the department said.

The day before, lawyer Eldar Garoz reported that he visited his client in pre-trial detention center No. 1. Lesnykh told the lawyer that he was hit with a stun gun because he did not clean his solitary confinement cell three times a day.

As Garoz clarified, Lesnykh did not know that prisoners need to clean their aluminum mug every day. “Because he didn’t clean up, they took him to the storeroom, turned off the recorder and put a stun gun through his clothes to his balls, I apologize,” the lawyer said.

In December last year, Lesnykh was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony, having been found guilty of using violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, at a protest on July 27, 2019, a young man knocked down a National Guardsman and kicked a policeman. Lesnykh himself said that he wanted to stop the beating of protest participants by security forces.
