Kazan policemen, who tossed drugs for the sake of improving indicators, requested up to 10 years in colony

During the debate in the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court, the prosecutor requested up to 10 years and 9 months in prison by six policemen from Kazan, accused of beating six local residents and about toss drugs. This was reported by the human rights fund "Public Verdict".

In the case, the head of the department for combating drug trafficking (Obnon) of the Office of the threat of Kazan Andrei Alekseev, the head of the similar unit of the department Dmitry Andrienko, operatives Marat Sadykhov and Nail Safiullin, as well as the head of the Kazan police Ruslan Halimdarov and the head of the Orenon Department Yakov Kononenko.

Depending on the role of each Alekseev, Andrienko, Sadykhov, Safiullin, Khalimdarov and Kononenko, they are accused of exceeding the official powers (paragraphs “A”, “B” of part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code), illegal trafficking of drugs (part 2 of article 228 of the Criminal Code), theft (paragraph “a” of part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code) and preventing the implementation of justice and the production of preliminary preliminary investigations (part 3 of article 294 of the Criminal Code).

Alekseev, Andrienko and Kononenko requested 9.5 years in a general regime colony, Sadykhov - nine years of colony, Khalimdarov - 10 years and 9 months of the colony, Safiullin - six years of colony. The last prosecutor asked to be released from punishment in connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations.

According to investigators, in 2013, the security forces “in order to artificially improve their work” demanded that his acquaintance be thrown away from the previously convicted resident of Kazan. Kazan warned a friend about the plans of the police. For this, the security forces threw drugs home to him and his other friend’s apartment. Then the police forced men to stipulate themselves.

When the previously convicted Kazan was detained, the security forces tried to withdraw this case from the production of FSKN and transfer it to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as they feared “exposing their criminal plans”.

“To do this, they forced the detainee to write a confession that is not true in reality in the commission of a general crime, as well as direct unreasonable complaints about the actions of FSKN investigators, forced him to give false testimonies,” the SK said.

During the investigation, it turned out that in 2009 Andrienko and Safiullin “from career residents” threw drugs to another resident of Kazan and beat him.

The investigation of the case ended in 2015. The court returned it several times to the prosecutor. As a result, the consideration of the case was transferred from Tatarstan to Nizhny Novgorod to exclude possible pressure on the court and the victims from the security forces.
