In Crimea, FSB officers, after searches, detained seven Muslims on suspicion of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia. This was reported by the Grati publication.
Today, July 7, searches were carried out at 11 addresses in Crimea. Alexander Sizikov, Alim Sufyanov, Seyran Khairetdinov, Emil Ziyadinov, Vadim Bektemirov, Ismet Ibragimov and Zekirya Muratov were detained. Crimean Dilyaver Memetov was not at home, he was put on the wanted list.
According to Grati, all detainees are suspected of belonging to the recognized terrorist party Hizb ut-Tahrir (Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).
Hizb ut-Tahrir legally exists on the territory of Ukraine, but the Islamic party is banned in Russia. At the same time, members of the organization were not noticed in preparing or committing terrorist attacks.
