The union claims that some couriers are employed by the Delivery Club through an intermediary company, and the employees do not have permanent employment contracts. “Courier” demands to pay back wages to 290 employees, conclude employment contracts with them, cancel fines, reinstate dismissed employees and “stop forcing couriers to switch to self-employment through blackmail.”

The couriers plan not to go to work until they are paid their salaries. As noted in the report, the strikers wrote several statements to the Investigative Committee under Article 145.1 of the Criminal Code (non-payment of wages). RAPSI was told by the department that it has launched an investigation into non-payment of wages to at least 30 employees.

Previously, the union said that one of Delivery Club’s logistics partners was late in paying salaries to couriers from May 1 to June 30. The company confirmed this information and promised to repay the debt to employees “in the coming days.”

“We categorically reject this attitude towards couriers who worked conscientiously during the period of home isolation, therefore we are immediately terminating the contract with this logistics partner,” explained the Delivery Club .
