The interlocutor of Interfax said that, according to the investigation, the user of VKontakte under the nickname Aleksandr Pejic in the period from November 1, 2018 to October 31, 2019 posted posts containing signs of excuses of terrorist acts. A criminal case was opened under the relevant article (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
It turned out that the courier of one of the St. Petersburg restaurants Alexander Merkulov was hiding under the nickname. He was detained on July 6 and soon arrested. According to Interfax based on information from his page, Merkulov was fond of Eurovision, anti -fascism and anarchism.
According to Fontanka, detained for 23 years, he fully pleaded guilty. The young man was sent to custody until September 5. Fontanka also writes that he administered public dedicated to the anarchists, where he placed posts about Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who blew himself up before entering the Archangel Department of the FSB in 2018.
On July 6, the Pskov garrison military court found the journalist Svetlana Prokopieva guilty of justification of terrorism and set a fine of 500 thousand rubles. The case was opened after her column about the terrorist attack in the FSB building in Arkhangelsk - in it Prokopyeva wrote that the state “raised” the generation of citizens who are fighting with it.
