The doctors of the psychiatric hospital of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, who were locked up with patients from June 16, were released home. This was reported by Fontanka with reference to the acting Chief physician of the hospital Andrei Leskov.

According to Fontanka, such a situation in the hospital developed due to the paragraph of the Rospotrebnadzor resolution on the observation due to the threat of coronavirus spread. According to the document, violators may face criminal liability under an article on violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules (Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At the same time, employees of the institution reported that none of them had coronavirus confirmed.

The press service of the governor added that from June 16, at the request of Rospotrebnadzor, the observator was organized in the hospital and the reception of patients was suspended. On July 8, the restrictions were removed, all the staff, except on duty shifts, were released home. Reception of patients will resume July 9.
