The number of coronavirus cases in Russia has exceeded 700 thousand

During the day by July 8, 6,562 new cases of coronavirus were detected in Russia, and the total number of infected exceeded 700,000 - 700,792 people.

Among the new cases, less than 10% were in Moscow (621), 295 in St. Petersburg, 268 in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, 263 in the Sverdlovsk Region.

In terms of the number of total cases, Russia ranks fourth after the United States (2.9 million), Brazil (1.6 million) and India (742,000). The accumulated number of infected in the country is twice the statistics of the UK (287,000), Spain (252,000), Iran (245,000) and 8 times the number of infected in the initial epicenter of the pandemic, China (84,000).

In terms of the number of deaths, Russia ranks 11th (+173 deaths per day, in total - 10,667 people).

In terms of the number of recovered patients, Russia is in third place (+8,631 people per day, in total - 472,511 people).
