Rosfinmonitoring added Arkady Babchenko to the list of terrorists and extremists

Rosfinmonitoring included publicist Arkady Babchenko in the list of terrorists and extremists.

Babchenko worked for Moskovsky Komsomolets as a war correspondent and collaborated with Novaya Gazeta and other publications.

In 2017, he moved to Prague, fearing for his safety after a post about the crash of a Russian Ministry of Defense Tu-154 flying to Syria. In the publication, Babchenko expressed the opinion that the deceased artists of the Alexandrov ensemble “are not worthy of regret.”

Then the journalist went to Kiev, where he worked on the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR .

In 2018, the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a special operation to stage Babchenko’s death in order to identify those who ordered the murder of the journalist.
