A database with passport data of participants in online voting on the Constitution has been made publicly available

The database of passports of Russians who registered to participate in electronic voting on amendments to the Constitution was made publicly available. This is reported by the telegram channel @dataleak.

On July 9, Meduza spoke about an archive with numbers and series of passports for Internet voters from Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

• The archive lay on one of the state sites, the data in it was encrypted in the form of alphanumeric sequences (hash sums). Deciphering them turned out to be quite simple.
• The names of voters who registered to vote online are not in the archive. “There is no point in such a database separately,” @dataleak believes . - The only use of this data is the enrichment of other databases containing personal data (including passport data) with the sign "registered to participate in electronic voting" (spelling and punctuation preserved).
