In Moscow and St. Petersburg, rallies were not agreed against amendments

The City Hall of Moscow and St. Petersburg did not agree on the opposition for July 15 rallies against amendments to the Constitution. This was reported by their applicants - Marina Litvinovich and Denis Lugovskaya .

According to Lugovsky, the basis for the refusal was that the applicants allegedly did not meet the deadlines established by federal law. Lugovskaya said that the organizers submitted an application on time, July 3. They will appeal the refusal and think about the alternative option of holding a promotion.

An application for a rally in St. Petersburg was submitted by the Libertarian Party of Russia, the Open Russia organization and the Vesna movement, in Moscow - the organizers of the campaign "No!" Against the amendments to the Constitution.

The refusal to conduct rallies became known after the initiators of the Moscow rally early on the morning of July 9 began searches. The police came to the municipal deputy Julia Galyamina, as well as the employees of Open Russia and the MBH Media. Executive Director of Open Russia Andrei Pivovarov and coordinator Maria Kuznetsova were detained.
