The head of the Russian biathlon Vladimir Drachev left his post voluntarily. The explanation looked more than strange

For some time now, the Russian biathlon gained the dubious glory of the most scandalous of the popular sports. It has long been uninteresting to observe the next “achievements” and anti -records, among which there were 26 wicked races. The fact that the crisis is systemic is understood, and the ways to get out of it from season to season are more and more exotic.

The current resignation of the head of the Union of Biathlonists of Russia was brewing for a long time, and was supposed to be resolved on Saturday an extraordinary elected conference. But on the eve of the current president Vladimir Drachev announced that he would not exhibit his candidacy. Thus, his alleged opponent Viktor Maygurov remained a non -alternative candidate, who can only sympathize. He accepts the farm in a state close to catastrophic.

Everyone gradually helped to reach the life of such a glorious Russian biathlon. Each new boss came with ideas to get him out of the peak, but the fall continued steadily. Neither the money of a big business, nor the care of the state, and the promotion and popularity in combination with nondescript results began to annoy everyone, helped.

The biathlon community has long ceased to resemble a single family, and by the spring of this year, searches for a way out of the crisis began to resemble a swara in communal cuisine.

And this despite the fact that the second year the Biathlon Union was led by a deputy of the State Duma, a former famous biathlete, whose candidacy two years ago arranged almost all.

In Drachev, they saw almost the only savior of the Russian biathlon. Everything was for him: knowledge of the intricacies of the sport, experience in the state structure, judgment and the desire to get along with all the warring camps, the desire to return Biathlon to be lost reputation both on the internal front and in the eyes of the world community.

Almost everything that was promised, the protege of "United Russia" brilliantly failed. They expected him to pull out a sport from the swamp, first of all, a biathlon man with ties at the Empire. And they received, alas, a typical “United Russia”, the essence of the work of which is in order to let dust into the eyes.

The failure followed the failure, and the matter was not only in the deplorable state of the sports component - it was getting worse with financial matters, sponsors began to turn away from the team, the restoration of the SBR was moved further and farther, and the accumulating irritation resulted in “letter of twenty”, in which people who are authoritative and current Lights of Drachev, transferring all of him, transferred all of him. Punches, essentially called on the boss to resign.

Of course, not only Drachev is to blame for the fact that the fall continued. Actually, he did not launch a destructive mechanism, and it was not in his power to at least somehow restart the process. He tried to do something-in particular, to select the composition of the team on the sports principle, but the authoritative regional biathlon elites quickly put Drachev in place.

After the current scandalous world championship, where only Alexander Loginov stood for the honor of the Russian biathlon, the President of the SBR was openly confused. But I did not find anything else than in the best traditions of the ruling party not to fight not for Biathlon, but for his position.

When the Board of the SBR, who went against the boss, by a majority vote put forward their candidates for the positions of the main and senior coaches of the national team, Vladimir Drachev almost outplayed his opponents, pushing his version. In truth, the hell was not sweeter than radish, but from above, that is, from the Ministry of Sports, there was already an angry shout in the style of "if the mess does not stop, with biathlon it would be the same as with athletics."

Drachev understood this as support, but there were also solid people behind Viktor Maygurov and his team. And the moment when the head of the SBR had to understand that he had lost, Drachev had an elementarily overslept. Or was too sure that he would eventually support him, and more or less settle down.

But the blessing single-partyists were not at all sure that their protege, having reconciled with an extraordinary reporting conference, would win. Moreover, they realized that Drachev would lose, and he would not be re -elected. For Vladimir Petrovich, this became a collapse.

For which he fought for the last six months, it turned out to be destroyed by one good advice not to aggravate the situation and get out of the distance.

But it was also required to explain why he was leaving. Vladimir Drachev, obviously, with the help of the same advisers, explained.

It turns out that in connection with the adoption of amendments to the Constitution and their advancement, he will have too little time to Biathlon. Of course, he would never have left his post if he had not been called up by urgent state affairs.

I hope Viktor Maygurov, if it happens and resigned him, will not adopt such explanations.
