How many people, including the clergy themselves, became infected as a result of unbelief in the virus?

A person or family who believe in supernatural ways of combating an epidemic (and, accordingly, in its supernatural nature) will ignore scientific and reasonable tips. Unbelief in the objective data of science is the same prejudice as faith in the advice of the "Athos Elders". I have already given this example from foreign research (unfortunately, we simply are not conducted with us). On the Fox News channel (it is mainly watched by the audience 55+ and loves Trump), there are two popular leading evening shows that both started with the extended information about coronavirus. Then one of them eight days earlier surrendered and began to give the correct advice like “wash your hands” and do not go to crowded places. American and Canadian scientists conducted a study: the likelihood of infection among those who liked the “cheerful” show was 30 percent higher than those who preferred Alarmist.

The World Health Organization from the very beginning said that

There can be a “information” - the spread of unbelief into the virus and all Pseudo -Dodician councils, more dangerous to the epidemic itself,

which are clogged with channels and newspapers and among which scientifically sound recommendations simply dissolve.

Every new situation gives rise to prejudices, and the old ones often wake up: for example, experienced “Masons” for centuries. The basis of some people to conspiracy is based - the theory of conspiracies is always an attempt to take control of what is happening without complicating, but by simplifying reality. This is not psychiatry, but mass psychology: unprecedented and terrible should be simplified in the head, the illusion of understanding soothes. Although this can push completely inadequate active actions like the demolition of the G5 tires - by the way, it is a pity that you do not have this in the Museum.

Field research and cognitive experiments indicate that the level of education does not affect the susceptibility to fakes, but primarily the features of thinking. So, the experiment in the USA and Canada had just been conducted, the subjects were given headlines and the first sentences of the messages about the coronavirus and it was proposed to answer two questions: the truth is either a fake, and whether you will reproduce it or not. As a rule, people agreed even what they considered a fake. The analysis of information and the decision on its distribution are obviously two different processes.

As a rule, you do not need to look for fakes and prejudices of some “doctor of evil” who sits somewhere and does all this specifically. This is a natural process.

Neither age nor status can determine whether you will replace messages with “alternative truth”.

It is more difficult to educate. The education itself does not protect. But education gives the education, analytical tools for analyzing events in the surrounding reality, and secondly, the psychological effect is self-confidence. If two factors work in full force, education becomes vaccinated against conspiracyology, and if not, then no.

But the driving force, probably, is still fear, and if hope is only to get rid of fear with the help of supernatural forces. The main thing is to make yourself comfortable now, to simplify the world so that it becomes convenient to live in it again. There is a need for stress.

The consideration virus is most affected by people with a high level of anxiety. And Russia, like the level of uncertainty and distrust, goes off scale. No repressions invented by power against “fakes” with the help of criminal and administrative tools can stop this process. Only honesty on the part of the authorities with information, moreover, not from time to time, but as a system.
