Khabarovsk riots for the third day against the arrest of Governor Sergei Furgal. These rallies seem to be the verdict of the Kremlin personnel policy

In Khabarovsk and other cities of the region, rallies are held for several days in support of the governor of the region Sergey Furgal. On July 9, he was detained on suspicion of organizing murders and attempts on businessmen in 2004 - 2005. The van was taken to Moscow and left under arrest until September 9th. He himself does not plead guilty.

On July 11, the inhabitants of Khabarovsk reached a spontaneous rally . He became the most numerous in the modern history of the city. According to various estimates, about 35 thousand people took to the streets. The audience chanted “Furgal - our choice”, “Moscow - leave”, and also carried the posters “I/we Sergey Furgal” and “Putin resigned”.

The police did not interfere with the protesting, and not reported about mass detentions. The press service of the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory thanked the audience. The administration of the region urged not to succumb to provocations and not to participate in the riots.

After protests, a representative of the president in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev arrived in the Khabarovsk Territory. He met with the security forces and officials of the regional government, the sources of Kommersant said.

The newspaper wrote that the resignation of the van could take place this week. It is still unclear which of the candidates will offer the Kremlin in his place - an official from the apparatus of the current governor or a third -party person close to power, who can suppress protest moods.
