On June 20, the distribution coefficient in Moscow fell to the level of 0.75, and subsequently it began to grow. After that, on July 10, the capital's opera station said that two weeks before that (June 26), new criteria for assessing the epidemiological situation were developed - instead of the number of free beds, the distribution coefficient and the number of tests, it was decided to track only the growth rate of new cases of the disease in two weeks. From June 23, this indicator has been steadily declining.

The coronavirus spread coefficient in Moscow for the first time since June 3 exceeded the unit, calculated the MBH Media on the basis of data from the operational headquarters.

Today, the indicator in the capital was 1.07. This means that one infected on average manages to infect more than one person. Last week, this coefficient varied in the range from 0.93 to 0.99. The indicator did not exceed the unit since June 3. Then it was 1.01. At the same time, at the end of June it fell to 0.75.

Over the past day, 613 new cases of infection were identified in Moscow, 37 people died. The total number of infections in the capital exceeded 230 thousand, and deaths - 4 205.

The factor of the spread of infection in Russia is now equal to one. The coefficient is a key indicator that is used by the Ministry of Health and the regional authorities when making decisions to mitigate restrictive measures. To calculate the coefficient, the number of new infected over the past four days must be divided by the number of sick in the previous four days.
