
Members of the Public Supervisory Commission (PMC) of Moscow were banned from telling the arrested governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergey Furgal about shares in his support. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Member of the PMC Eve Merkachev, who visited the governor in jail.
“Furgal does not know anything about promotions in Khabarovsk, he doesn’t work for a TV, we were forbidden to talk about it (about rallies). He is satisfied with the conditions, said, a friendly team [in jail], ”said Merkacheva.
According to her, Furgal in a good mood - jokes, reads books, plays sports. They brought him the book “Atlant's shoulders”, but he refused it.
Furgala was detained on July 9 on suspicion of organizing murders. According to the investigation, the former head of the region was the organizer of a number of attempts on entrepreneurs in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Amur Region in 2004 and 2005. Also in this case, two deputies of the Khabarovsk Regional Duma were detained.
Since July 11 in Khabarovsk, shares in defense of the governor Sergei Furgal have been continuing. The first rally became the most massive in the history of the city, about 30 thousand people took part in it.
LDPR candidate Sergey Furgal became the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory in 2018, gaining almost 70% of the vote in the second round of elections and bypassing the current Governor-Dressors Vyacheslav Shorta. Before that, he was a deputy of the State Duma of the fifth, sixth and seventh convocations. The Khabarovsk Territory took sixth place in the list of regions with the greatest protest voting on amendments to the Constitution.
