Application of the editor -in -chief "MBH Media"

On July 13, it became known about the situation that had developed at a party in the apartment of journalist Sergei Prostakov six years ago. I am writing a “journalist”, and not “MBH Media” chief editor, because in 2014 Sergey Prostakov was not related to “MBH Media”, and the MBH Media itself did not exist.

Nevertheless, later Sergey became the chief editor of our site. I don’t know exactly what happened six years ago, I don’t know who participated in this incident and did not participate, but I, as the editor -in -chief, bear moral responsibility for the actions or inaction of my subordinates, even at a time when they were not my subordinates. And even more so, at a time when they were already - yesterday several journalists accused Sergey Prostakov of harassment and boorish behavior already during our joint work with him. Unfortunately, none of the girls turned to me, and I learned about the claims to Sergey only yesterday from social networks. I understand how difficult it is in such a situation to decide on publicity, but, not knowing about the problem in the team, it cannot be eliminated.

As the editor -in -chief of MBH Media, I apologize to everyone whom Sergei Prostakov’s actions offended, forced to suffer or caused mental pain. I will do everything possible to make this situation never repeated.

Sergei Prostakov and our Bild editor Andrei Zolotov, mentioned in connection with the same party of 2014, announced the departure from MBH Media. I consider these decisions correct and only possible in this situation.

At the same time, I want to thank Sergei Prostakov and Andrei Zolotov for everything they did for the editorial office in a professional sense. I am very sorry that everything was so over.
