Six candidates for municipal deputies were detained in Tatarstan

In Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, several participants in the United Democrats project on municipal elections were detained. This was reported by OVD-Info and Idel.Realii .

Project coordinator in Tatarstan Andrey Davydov said that the police came to the premises in Naberezhnye Chelny, where a meeting of candidates for municipal deputies was taking place.

“Some kind of statement was received or I don’t know what it is. Do not say anything. Six were detained. Looks like another drug test,” he said. Davydov, Anton Kasin, Marat Munasipov, Vasil Tarasov, Elena Vinogradova and Konstantin Luchkin were detained.

OVD-Info writes that activist Gulnaz Ravilova was also detained in Kazan. United Democrats member Anastasia Burakova published a photo of the arrest. Ravilova was handcuffed and, according to Burakova, taken to court.
