A criminal case was opened in Belarus after the protests

In Minsk, after mass protests caused by the refusal to register a number of candidates for the presidential elections, a criminal case was opened on the fact of organizing and participating in violation of public order.

As reported in the Investigative Committee of Belarus, the case was initiated under Art. 342 of the Criminal Code of the Republic, according to which the accused face up to three years in prison.
