In Moscow, police officers detained Alexei Sobolev on the way to the meeting place with State Duma deputy Denis Parfyonov. This was reported to OVD-Info by Nadezhda Chizhova, an eyewitness to the detention.
Sobolev was stopped by employees of the second operational regiment near the place where the meeting of local residents with Parfyonov is taking place. According to Chizhova, the police spoke with Sobolev for some time, after which he was detained. What the conversation was about is unknown; Chizhova stood far away and did not hear what they were saying.
Where the detainee is being taken is unknown. There is no contact with him at the moment, it is not possible to get through to him.
The meeting of local residents with deputy Parfyonov was held on construction issues on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, as well as on the issues of cutting down parks.
According to Chizhova, Sobolev regularly participates in protests against cutting down a park on Ivan Franko Street, a grove on Slavyansky Boulevard and other parks. She suggested that the detention could be related to Sobolev's participation in these actions.
21:39 The detainee was released with a protocol under the article on petty hooliganism (part 1 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported to OVD-Info by Nadezhda Chizhova and confirmed by the detainee Aleksey Sobolev himself.
According to the police, Sobolev cursed. The detainee himself told OVD-Info that he turned to the police colonel. The colonel, according to him, insulted him several times in response, and then ordered the police to detain Sobolev "for cursing in a public place." Sobolev himself denies that he used foul language.
