On July 7, the Leninsky District Court of Kursk extended the detention of local residents accused of an extremist organization due to their membership in the religious association Jehovah's Witnesses. The website “Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia” reports this.
Andrei Andreev, Artem Bagratyan and Alevtina Bagratyan will remain in the pre-trial detention center until September 11, Andrei Ryshkov - until September 9. They are accused under the article on organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code) and participation in it (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
Previously, the arrest of believers was extended in May.
