The search began simultaneously with the interrogation of the head of the foundation, Alexei Navalny, in a libel case (Part 2 of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code).

As the head of the legal department of the foundation, Vyacheslav Gimadi, told MBH Media, the search is being carried out in connection with a libel case. “They are looking for electronic media, some documents, we ourselves don’t understand, to be honest, yet,” Gimadi added.

According to lawyer Vladimir Voronin, the investigator is trying to obtain a non-disclosure agreement from Gimadi and FBK director Ivan Zhdanov.

MBKh Media reports that a search has also begun in the Navalny LIVE studio . Lawyer Voronin told Open Media that security forces are also searching premises that Navalny’s structures had previously rented. Thus, a search is currently underway at the Moscow representative office of the Chinese company Dahua Technology . Investigators, according to the publication, intend to visit three more offices.

Soon the search ended , investigators seized “several pieces of equipment,” Zhdanov said. Open Media clarifies that they seized “a couple of old phones” and a hard drive.
