The Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg summoned Mediazona correspondent David Frenkel to draw up a protocol on disobedience to a police officer who broke his arm at a polling station. It is reported by Mediazona.
According to the publication, in addition to Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, they plan to charge the photographer with articles on interference in the work of the election commission (Article 5.69 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of St. Petersburg) and on violation of the high alert regime (Article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
David Frenkel was detained at polling station No. 2219, where he came to record possible violations. Then the policeman tried to push him out of the station and dropped the photographer, as a result of which the latter injured his hand. He was later diagnosed with a fracture and underwent surgery.
