Two more criminal cases were opened against the creator of the “Police Ombudsman” public page, Vladimir Vorontsov, under the article of insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code). Sergei Badamshin, lawyer for Human Rights Protection Postcard, told MBH Media about this.
“[The cases were initiated - MBKh Media ] not today, they were initiated earlier. Now it has become known about them, yesterday the investigator handed over the relevant decisions. [The cases – MBKH Media ] are being investigated, and some investigative actions will be ordered in the near future,” the publication reports Badamshina’s words.
One of these cases was initiated in connection with publications about the employee of the Internal Affairs Ministry’s Internal Security Service Sergei Kobelev, the other in connection with publications about the head of the legal department of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Central Administrative District Lyudmila Yudanova.
In total, writes MBKH Media, seven criminal cases have been opened against Vladimir Vorontsov to date. Vorontsov was charged in the case of extortion (part 1 and part 2 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code).
