A participant in a single picket with a poster against Putin was detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, on Sennaya Square, a picketer Alexander Tonkonogov was detained, who stood with a poster against Putin and the resetting of the terms of his presidential rule. This was reported to OVD-Info by Tonkonogov himself.

The poster depicted Vladimir Putin today and twenty years ago. The activist was taken to police department No. 20 of the Admiralteisky district. They are going to draw up a protocol against him on violation of the article on rallies during the high alert regime.

Tonkonogov was last detained in March, also in connection with a one-man picket against amendments to the Constitution. The police then threw him to the ground, and the department drew up a protocol under the article on violation of the rules for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

17:30 As Tonkonogov told OVD-Info, he was released from the police department with a protocol under the article on violation of the high alert regime (Article 20.6.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). In addition, in connection with a single picket on February 1 on Senate Square, he was given an obligation to report to the police on July 20 to draw up a protocol under the article on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• In St. Petersburg, on February 1, a people's gathering took place on Senate Square against changing the Constitution. About 10 people were detained that day.
• Dmitry Negodin regularly participates in protests, in connection with which he is detained and administrative proceedings are initiated against him. So, because of the action in support of the defendants in the "Network case" on May 25, Negodin was assigned 50 hours of compulsory work.
