In Krasnodar, police detained a girl who was going to “feed the pigeons”

On the Main City Square of Krasnodar, the police detained and took away in an unknown direction activist Olesya, who had previously announced on her TikTok account that she would go feed the pigeons. A witness to the arrest reported this to OVD-Info.

Olesya was detained by about 5 police officers. Witnesses to the arrest were not told where she was being taken. However, they were asked to gather in the City Duma building next to the square and sign a collective appeal from all those present to the police asking them to release Olesya. After receiving such an appeal, the security forces promised to tell where Olesya was taken.

14:40 Olesya was released with a report on violation of the rules of holding a rally (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).

When Olesya’s friends were driving from the central square to the police department to pick up the girl, their car was stopped by a traffic police officer on a motorcycle. There were three adults and two minor children in the car. The driver's documents were taken away, allegedly for verification.

16:00 The driver was released after rewriting his passport details and drawing up a report on violation of the rules for using seat belts - allegedly the passengers were not wearing seat belts.

In the Far East, actions in support of the Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal were nicknamed “feeding the pigeons” on social networks. In the morning in Vladivostok, police detained two participants in a rally in support of Furgal.

• Since July 11, residents of the Khabarovsk Territory have been holding actions in support of Governor Sergei Furgal. The procession on July 11 through the streets of Khabarovsk to the building of the regional government, according to various estimates, gathered from 5 to 35 thousand people. The police did not interfere with the protesters, and there were no arrests. Promotions are also taking place in other cities.
• Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal was detained on July 9 as part of a criminal case under article of murder. The next day, Furgal was sent to a pre-trial detention center until September, Mediazona reports . According to the prosecution, the official organized the murders and attempted murders of entrepreneurs in 2004–2005, when he himself was engaged in business. The Moscow City Court rejected an appeal against Furgal's arrest.
