In the Amur region, 11 participants in the riot of gas processing plant builders were detained

In the Amur Region, 11 suspects were detained for participation in mass riots (Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code) during a riot by construction workers of the Amur Gas Processing Plant, according to the website of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

Now two of the 11 “most active participants” are already in pre-trial detention center. “The issue of preventive measures against the remaining detainees is being decided,” the Investigative Committee reports.

According to investigators, the detainees carried out pogroms against office premises, a store and cell phone stores at a construction site.

“According to the investigation, no facts of untimely payment of wages to employees have been established; the cause of the unrest between citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan - employees of the contracting organization and its management was a conflict that arose due to disagreements regarding the source of reimbursement of expenses for paying patents for labor activity,” insists the Investigative Committee .

On July 13, local publications published a video of a conflict between builders of the Amur Gas Processing Plant, which, according to the publications, occurred due to delayed salaries. The plant’s press service said that the workers’ revolt occurred due to “financial claims” of employees against the contractor Renaissance Heavy Industries.

After these events, the department of the Investigative Committee also opened a case of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code).
