The presenter of Channel One was fined under the article on displaying extremist symbols

The Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow convicted the host of Channel One, Yevgeny Kolesov, under the article on the demonstration of extremist symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). ruling The court found MBKh media.

An administrative case was opened because of the logo of the Power of Law NGO, which is headed by Kolesov. According to the court, on the website of the Forces of Law and in the video on the YouTube channel, the symbol “Square of Svarog” (“Star of Rus'”) was shown, which was used by the Northern Brotherhood movement, whose activities were banned in 2012.

The leader was fined 1,000 rubles. Also, a fine of 10 thousand rubles was also imposed on the Force of Law.

At the meeting, Kolesov pleaded not guilty and stressed that the organization no longer uses the logo with a star, and at the time of use, he did not know that this symbol was the “Star of Svarog”.
