Novgorods George Dzamukov produces and sells mobile baths. When the OPEC+ deal failed in March and the price of oil collapsed, he decided to use it in trampling. It turned out cheaper than on firewood, the correspondent of the North. Realia found out.

Dzamukov, a native of the Pestovsky district, lives in St. Petersburg, and in Pestovo he has a turnkey bathhouse, along with a stove and equipment. It has been working for more than 10 years, produces 600 mobile baths per year. In the spring of 2020, Dzamukov brought a new product to the market: a bathhouse that is heated by oil.

George published a video about the Russian bath and Black Gold on YouTube in May. In the very first days, demand appeared in such a bathhouse, the entrepreneur told the correspondent of the North. Reali.

- I have friends, friends who heat garages and houses with oil. And then the price of oil fell, and I thought, why not make such a bath? Technically, this is not very difficult. The idea seems to be strange, but then I thought that at a price below $ 30 per barrel it turns out cheaper. A comrade from Tyumen sent me a barrel of oil. At first I experimented with a small amount and saw that oil needed much less than firewood to achieve the desired temperature, ”he says.

For safety at a higher oil burning temperature, compared to firewood, the experimental bath had to improve: to cover the stove with a thicker layer of basalt cardboard and use more refractory materials. At first, the entrepreneur, and then potential customers liked the result. “Jokes jokes, but it really turns out cheaper,” George thought. A liter of oil goes to the bathhouse. At a price of $ 35 per barrel, it cost 16 rubles to melt the bath. At the current dollar rate and a price of $ 40 per barrel - a little more than 17 rubles. An armful of firewood, which is required to melt the bathhouse in the summer, in the Novgorod region costs at least 30 rubles, and in the Leningrad price can reach 100 rubles.

- Now we are already developing the next version of the furnace, and everything will be different there. There will be a special funnel to fill in oil. And the container will be built -in. It will not be possible to shed somewhere, which additionally ensures safety, ”he says.

In parallel, George is trying to establish oil supply - after all, you can’t just buy it at a trading base as firewood or building materials. But to get a barrel of oil for a resident of the Tyumen region or Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is not a problem, almost how to buy firewood for a resident of the north-west, he notes. So, you can establish oil delivery and other regions. Or sending "oil" baths for export: "In Europe, for example, the forest is much more expensive. And in Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia it is not at all. But for sure, the inhabitants of these countries are in Russia and see a Russian bath."

The 15,000th Pestovo, by the standards of the Novgorod region, is an unusual city. From the "zero" years he is considered a small business reserve. There are no large budget organizations, but many enterprises work that build baths, cabins and wood houses, which in the form of a designer are delivered to other regions and collect there. This business has turned into Pestov’s brand, local baths - almost like Tula gingerbread or Karelian gates.

Pestovsky entrepreneurs did not immediately notice the beginning of the crisis caused by the Pandemia of Coronavirus and the measures of the struggle with it.

-In the spring-summer season, it is difficult to track crisis phenomena, because demand exceeds the proposal. Therefore, it may seem that everything is in order. But in reality, there are fewer people who want to order a bathhouse. We, as the company ourselves, grow, improve the quality of baths and marketing. If this story was not with self -isolation, we would grow even faster, definitely. The situation is generally not very, I think, and when the season ends, a sharp decline will begin. Our situation is better than in the industry in general, because we come up with a new one, and then we copy it, ”says George Dzamukov.

More than the fall in demand, the closing of borders hit the Pestovsky business.

- The brigades from the near abroad did not come. We were not badly injured, since we work for a whole year, and our brigades did not leave anywhere. But those who do not work in winter calls brigades, they come and work. Now the borders are closed, and no one has come to them. Those who sit without brigades, of course, feel bad, ”says the entrepreneur. -Imagine, you worked, worked, worked-and I know that someone had ten brigades-and suddenly all ten brigades do not come. And those who have brigades have orders - they work.

The bath of Dzamukov is called the "guardian", consonant with OPEC. “I want to invite King of Saudi Arabia and even give him one bathhouse,” says George. "HOST" ($ 100) Oil will no longer cost, he is sure:

- I am negative about that deal of OPEC+. I believe that in the 21st century, when the market dictates its conditions, the one who has higher quality of services, who has more efficiently and less cost, wins. Even if this agreement leads to an increase in prices, then after the increase there will be a sharp rebound down. In the same Saudi Arabia, the state controls only part of the oil companies. In the United States, such conspiracies are prohibited.

According to him, in Russia they pay too much attention to oil prices and too little - politics and laws:

- I do not see problems in oil itself. The problem in the mode that exists. In order for the economy to grow, you need not to interfere with people to work. Let the state sell oil with Sechin, gas with Miller, but let them let the people, small businesses work calmly. That oil is 30, that $ 80 per barrel, incomprehensible things are still happening. Now, in Yandex, a man from the government is sitting and controlling the news, an incomprehensible story with the courts, with an outflow of investment.

Due to the incomprehensible "rules of the game" foreign investors and Russians withdraw money from the country, he recalls. Therefore, regardless of oil prices, the economy needs another system, Dzamukov is sure.

-Give me an example of a law that at least a little to entrepreneurs helps. We see new laws that only complicate life, ”he claims. - In addition, in parallel, inadequate pieces such as interest on deposits occur. Now I am sitting and thinking: I want to buy an apartment.
